Charlie Duke Yelverton

Charlie Duke Yelverton, 75, of Edison, GA passed away on Wednesday, November, 29, 2017 in the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Edison United Methodist Church with Dr. Buddy Coss officiating.

Mr. Yelverton was born on August 12, 1942 in Cuthbert the son of the late Charlie Edgar and Mamie Lois Duke Yelverton. He was a Cuthbert High School graduate, a retired machinist and a member of the Edison United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Leona Y. Chambliss and Margie Y. Lamb and 4 brothers; Curtis Odell Yelverton, Julian Yelverton, Howard Yelverton and Arthur Yelverton.

Survivors include his wife; Sharleene Yelverton of Edison, 2 daughters; Julie Y. Moore of Fitzgerald and Susan Y. Wilson of Cuthbert, a son; Joshua (Fielding) Calvin Yelverton of Gastonia, NC, a stepdaughter; Katrina (Michael) W. Hadley of Leesburg, a stepson; Stanley (Becky) Wills of Waycross, a sister; Cheryl (Joe) Monzie of Dawson, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
