Quinell (Duke) Simpson

Quinell Simpson, 77, of Edison passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in the Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery and with Rev. Jackie Williams officiating.

Mrs. Simpson was born on February 23, 1940 in Edison the daughter of the late Homer Floyd Duke and Lula Mae Geeslin Duke. She was a retired Machine Operator for Riverside Manufacturing and a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Billy Frank Simpson.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Judy S. Greene of Edison and Hazel S. Roberson of Rome, 2 sons; David Franklin Simpson of Ft. Gaines and Billy Frank Simpson, Jr. of Rome, 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great Great Grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shaun Roberson, David Earl Simpson, Matthew Greene, William McHan, Tyler Rice and Wesley McHan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
