Elizabeth (Brown) Taylor

Elizabeth Brown Taylor, 83, of Cuthbert passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Columbus Hospice in Columbus. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 4, 2017, at 12:00 NOON in the Faith Baptist Church with interment to follow in Eastview Cemetery. Dr. Jimmy Elder and Dr. Ben McFather will officiate.

Mrs. Taylor was born on May 27, 1934, in Coleman, GA, the daughter of the late John C. and Beulah Moore Brown. She was retired as the Financial Advisor for many of the area County School Systems and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gene Taylor; a son Jimbo Taylor; and 2 grandsons Jason Taylor; and Robert Cass Spell.

Survivors include 2 daughters Janis Bell of Columbus and Susan (Randy) Spell of Grayson, GA; a son Thomas B. “Tommy” (Terrie) Taylor of Greensboro, NC; a daughter-in-law Sondra Taylor of Cuthbert; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until funeral time on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Hospice at 7020 Moon Rd., Columbus, GA 31904.
