STEPHEN WALKER HARBISON

Stephen Walker Harbison was born on October 3, 1951 in Cuthbert the son of the late Harold B. and Ann Walker Harbison who pre-deceased him. He was also pre-deceased by his brothers, Mike and Pat Harbison and grandparents, J. B. and Laura Harbison and J. W. and Harriette Walker. Steve was a member of the Shellman United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sister, Suzanne H. Bowen, brother-in-law, Lanny Bowen, nephew, John Bowen (Megan, Lizzie and Hannah), niece, Rebecca Bowen and loving cousins, Laurie Montfort and Jane Washburn.

Steve grew up in Shellman with special needs, but he knew just about everyone in his hometown and could tell you the names of all their family members. He was also a go-to when you needed to know how to spell a word, the name of a song or had questions about old television shows and people in town who had passed away years ago.

Steve got great pleasure out of his music and especially enjoyed his record player and vinyl records. He was a big fan of old horror movies, of which he had an impressive collection and his favorites were the Godzilla movies. Going to the circus was his favorite outing.

Steve loved his family and special friends and never forgot any kindness done for him by anyone.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2019 in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on Lee Street in Terrell County with Rev. Olin Johnson officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Shellman United Methodist Church.
