Addie Missouri Smith Chambers

Addie  Missouri Smith Chambers, 108, passed away Saturday Dec. 17, 2016 at Jo Ann Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday Dec. 19, 2016 at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany with the Rev. Morris Monkus officiating.

Mrs. Chambers was born Feb. 17, 1908 in Randolph Co. Ga. the daughter of the late James Henry and Addie Eliza (Lidie) Smith. She was a high school graduate of Edison High School. She was a retired civil Service employee at the Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base and was a member of Morgan Baptist Church. She was known by her nieces and nephews as  " Aunt OOTZ".

Survivors include Nieces and Nephews;  James Rucker Smith, Brenda Kay Smith Peavy, James Hillman Smith, Linwood Agnew Smith, Jr., Elise Smith Canipe, James Thomas Smith, John Hull Smith,  Lydie Evelyn Smith Anderson, Frank Bugg, Lynn Smith Smith, Marvin F. Smith Jr. and 2 sisters-in-laws Polly Smith Schramm and Iris Harvey Smith.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Gilbert Chambers.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
