ADELYN RAGAN GOREE

LUMPKIN, GA

Adelyn Ragan Goree, 79, of Lumpkin, GA passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in the Columbus Hospice. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Stewart Co. with Rev. Marvin Morrison officiating.

Adelyn was born on April 24, 1939 in Cuthbert the daughter of the late Homer Bertram Ragan "Big Daddy" and the late Cordelia "Mama Dee" Johnson Ragan. She was a retired Bookkeeper for Southwest Georgia Regional Medical Center and was a member of Countyline Baptist Church in Stewart Co. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Robert Goree, Sr.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Goree( Harold ) Turner of Buena Vista, a son, Charles Robert "Chuck" (Lynn ) Goree, Jr. of Lumpkin, 2 sisters, Betty Jean "Sister"  (Homer) Kennedy of Shorterville, AL and Patricia Marie "Ree" (Michael) Garmon of Monroe, 4 brothers, Thomas A. "Sonny" (Joan) Ragan of Edison, Harold Kenneth "Boots" Ragan of Carnegie, James Carlos "Sam Bo" (Kaye) Ragan of Carnegie and Walter Robert "Bob" (Diane) Ragan of Carnegie; 4 grandchildren Amanda Paul, Michael Ledford, Trey Goree and K.C. Ledford; 2 Great-Grandchildren Preslee Paul and Jaxon Paul.
