Arthur Gary Mason, 79, of Lumpkin, GA passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Northside Cemetery in Lumpkin with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating.

Mr. Mason was born on August 10, 1944, in Cuthbert, GA the son of the late Roy Bernard "Ickey" Mason and the late Irene Smith Mason Dunaway. He was a graduate of Stewart County High School, retired after 28 years as a foreman, crew leader and fabricator for B & S Wood Service and was a member of the Lumpkin First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bernadine Mason Jones, a brother, Walter W. Mason, a nephew, Walter W. Mason, Jr. and a great niece, Amanda Lea Mason.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Carol Camp Mason, 2 daughters, Kim (Mike) Goare and Kasi (Benji) Horton, 4 grandchildren, Hailee Goare, Addison Horton, Mason Horton, and Benjamin (Kassi) Nobles and 2 great grandchildren, Nolyn Nobles and Dallas Nobles all of Lumpkin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Stovall, Tommy Babb, Chris Hester, Dale Hutchinson, Jimmy Babb, Wayne Ammons, Shaun Harris and Jeff Ponder.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lumpkin First Baptist Church 121 Main St. Lumpkin, GA 31815 or the Northside Cemetery Fund P. O. Box 758 Lumpkin, GA 31815.
