Aubrey Floyd Scarborough, 82, of Shellman passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Shellman First Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Pittman officiating and interment to follow in East View Cemetery in Shellman.

Mr. Scarborough was born on July 7, 1934 in Cuthbert the son of the late Astor Floyd and Aillene Jones Scarborough. He was a retired insurance agent with Life of Georgia, a member of the Shellman First Baptist Church and a Veteran of the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Michael Linwood Scarborough, 2 brothers; Buddy and Joe Scarborough and 2 sisters; Juanita S. Beamon and Jane S. Langford.

Survivors include his wife; Joyce Settles Scarborough of Shellman, a son; Tony Scarborough of  Albany, 2 granddaughters; Hannah and Haley Scarborough of Albany, 3 sisters; Betty S. Cox of Tifton, Nancy S. O'stean of Atlanta and Irma S. Kimbrell of Shellman, a brother; Jerry Scarborough of Cordele.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
