Barbara Merritt Lumpkin, 90, of Shellman, GA died on Monday, February 08, 2021 in the Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr.  Stewart Short officiating.

Barbara was born on July 8, 1930 in Shellman the daughter of the late Joe Payne and Voncile Hilton Merritt. She was a retired LPN for Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home and a member of the Shellman First Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Harold Lumpkin, Sr. and 2 daughters, Ann Pantone and Danise Lumpkin.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Sara Takach of Shellman and Jill (Tracy) Hester of Dawson, a son, Jack (Kathy) Lumpkin of Shellman, a sister, Flo M. Young of Shellman, 7 grandchildren, Beverly Blanton, Dennis Pantone, Cathy Stull, Doug Dampier, Bryan Takach, Hannah Frantz and Christy Kleckley and 8 great grandchildren.

Friends are welcome however social distancing will be required. Memorial may be made to the Church of your choice.
