Bette Pearce Maynard, 96, of Carnegie, GA passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, in the Fort Gaines Health and Rehabilitation. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the Cuthbert Eastview Cemetery with Leamon Foxworth officiating. The family will receive friends in the cemetery on Saturday from 10:30 until funeral time.

Mrs. Maynard was born on September 4, 1927, in Clay County, Georgia the daughter of the late John Bunyan Pearce and the late Clara Ragan Pearce. She was a graduate of Cuthbert High School, retired as the bookkeeper for Palmer Timber Company and a member of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Madison Maynard, and 4 brothers, Carlwin Pearce, Ragan Pearce, Jerry Pearce and Curtis Pearce and 2 nephews, Phil Pearce and Benjie Pearce.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Monica (Charles) Andrews of Cuthbert, Julie (David) Lee of Ft. Gaines and Kathy (Eddie) Martin of Cuthbert, a sister, Beverly Morrison of Hahira, GA, a sister-in-law Annie Rae Pearce of Cuthbert, 7 grandchildren, Seth Martin, Dusty Martin, Kaitlyn Lawson, Daphne Harden, Kelly Andrews, Ryan Lee and Chad Lee, 14 great grandchildren, Dalton Harden, Dylan Harden, Shelby Wilson, Ava Wilson, Kadence Martin, Benjamin Lawson, Ashton Lee, Aubrey Wilson, Emarie Lee, Eden Lee, Amelia Lee, Addison Lee, Caden Smith and Grayson Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.
