Betty Sawyer Brooks, 87, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the Donalsonville Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in East View Cemetery with Rev. Ben McFather officiating.

Mrs. Brooks was born on June 25, 1930 in Cuthbert the daughter of the late Ernest Carl and Carrie Belle Morgan Sawyer. She was a partner with her husband in the Cuthbert Cleaners and a member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; Arthur Paul (Cris) Brooks.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Jan (Joe) Sheffield of Iron City and Becky (Jerry) Scarborough of Lake Blackshear, 4 grandchildren; Ryan Sheffield, Erin Sheffield, Kristy Scarborough and Julie S. (Tyler) Gurney and a great grandchild; Caiden Sheffield.
