Betty Jean Martin Swann, 88, of Carnegie, GA passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in the St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 26, 2022, in the Carnegie Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Murphy officiating.

Betty was born on July 11, 1934, in Seale, Alabama, to Albert Steven and Madie Dell Davis Martin. Betty attended Coleman Elementary School and furthered her education by graduating from Randolph County High School. Notably she worked as the Director of the Neighborhood Service Center then Director of the Senior Citizens Center in Cuthbert where she retired. She was a member of the Carnegie Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Carl Swann of Carnegie, a daughter, Elaine (Roy) Swann Youngblood of Havana, FL and a son, Charles Travis Swann of Coleman.
