Billie Jean "BJ" Ball, 86, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Ball Family Cemetery on Ball Rd. Cuthbert with Rev. Dwight Dunn officiating.

Mrs. Ball was born on April 19, 1938, in Macon, GA the third child of eleven children born to the late Hugh Thomas Tye and the late Annie "Billie" Weeks Tye. She was a 1956 graduate of A. L. Miller High School for Girls in Macon. She was the bookkeeper and co/owner of Central Drugs in Cuthbert, a member and past President of the Cuthbert Pilot Club, a member and past President of the Randolph Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Union Methodist Church in Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 of her siblings, Thomas, James, Johnnie, Grady, Clarence, Henry, Marshlyn and Mary Ann.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Robert "Bob" Ball of Cuthbert, 2 daughters, Joy Lynn (Scott) Ballard of Fayetteville, GA and Deborah Ann Ball of Valdosta, a son, Robbie Ball of Cuthbert, 2 brothers, Harrold Tye of Orchard Hill, GA and Jeff Tye of Macon, GA, 4 grandchildren, David (Brittany) Ballard, Melanie Ballard, Paul Ballard and Melissa (Dale) Jacobs and 4 great grandchildren, Hailie Phillips, Lillie Phillips, Braelyn Phillips and Elizabeth Ballard.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
