James Arthur "Bubba" Palmer, 74, of Eufaula passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in the Barbour County Medical Center in Eufaula, AL. Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 EST on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in the Cuthbert Eastview Cemetery with Gerald Greene officiating.

Bubba was born on October 10, 1947, in Cuthbert, GA the son of the late Arthur Willard "Bill" and Maxine Turner Palmer. He received a bachelor's degree in Forestry from the University of Georgia and was the retired owner of James Palmer Timber Co. He was a member of the Eufaula First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nan Herndon Palmer and a sister, Beth Freedman.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Pam (Ren) Cofield of Pike Road, AL and Penny (Brian) Jernigan of Eufaula, 2 sisters, Frances Messer of Americus and Judy Marsan of Dunedin, FL and 2 grandchildren, Palmer Cofield and Vivian Nan Cofield.
