Norman Daniel "Buster" Smith,70, of Carnegie, GA passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his residence. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Carnegie Baptist Church with Rev. Leaman Foxworth officiating. Interment will follow in Carnegie Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM until funeral time in the church.

Buster was born on February 22, 1954, in Macon, GA the son of the late Marvin Dwain Smith, Sr. and the late Ruby Grace Bruce Smith. He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School, employed at Whatley One Stop in Edison and a member of Carnegie Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Waller Smith of Carnegie, 2 daughters, Kylie (Will) Patterson of Albany and Brooke (Justin) Berry of Carnegie, a son, Neal (Krissey) Smith of Cuthbert, a sister, Nancy Smith Deloach of Toccoa, GA, 2 brothers, James Dale (Terri) Smith of Tampa, FL and Marvin Dwain "Bo" Smith of Carnegie, a granddaughter, Gracie Bruner and 3 grandsons, Daniel Smith, Nash Berry and Timmy Berry.

Serving as active pallbearers will be, Harold Andrews, Trey Taylor, Tory Edwards, James Shumate, Tommy McCook and Tim Rizer also serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Steve Whatley, Bill Stone, Marion Lane, Lester McNair, Harvey Jordan, Jimmy Callaway, Bryan Brown, Hugh Everson, Ralph Smith, Tommy Richie, Jack Lumpkin, Ray Wood and Ran Shealy.
