CAYDEN GARET-LAINE SPEARS

Cayden Garet-Laine Spears, 15, of Fort Gaines, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at his residence. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Hardamon officiating.

Cayden was born on October 5, 2010, in Albany, GA the son of the late Joseph Bernard Smith and Haley Elizabeth Spears Thomas. He was a home school 9th grade student and was a member of the New Harvest Worship Center in Georgetown, GA.

Survivors include his mother, Haley Thomas, brother, Ryder Spears, 2 sisters, Ma’Cayleigh Brooks and Aubree Smith all of Ft. Gaines, maternal grandmother, Teresa Crozier, maternal grandfather, Gregory Spears, paternal grandmother, Jill Smith and paternal grandfather, Alfred Isaac, his best friend, Beau Smith and his most loyal companion, Pugsley.
