Charles Douglas Hardwick, 85 of Cuthbert passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Cuthbert First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tom McClendon and Dr. Fred Collins officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery in Cuthbert.

Mr. Hardwick was born on January 4, 1933 in New Brockton, AL the son of the late Minton Adam and Ottie Motley Hardwick. He was an Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War. He was the retired owner of Dixie Discount, member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church serving as the chairman of the Deacons. He was a former Rotarian, and a real estate developer.

Survivors include his wife Vivian Snellgrove Hardwick of Cuthbert, a daughter, Charlotte Lee Hardwick (Ben) Carmichael of Atlanta, 3 grandchildren, Charles B. (Jehae) Carmichael, Katrina L. (Barton) Hodges and Christopher A. Carmichael, a great grandson, Abraham Benjamin Carmichael and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association 202 North Tift Ave Suite 102 Tifton, Ga. 31794.
