Charles (Charlie) Travis Swann, 71, of Coleman, GA passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday Jan. 9, 2026 in the Carnegie Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Hines officiating.

Charles was born on May 27, 1954, in Cuthbert, Ga. the son of the late Betty Jean Martin Swann and Walter Carl Swann. He was a graduate of Randolph Southern School in Shellman, Ga. He continued his education and graduated from West Georgia College. He worked for the Georgia Geological Survey before moving to Oxford MS, to continue his education at the University of Mississippi. He graduated as a Geologist and began working with the Mississippi Mineral Institute. He worked with MMI for over 25 years before retiring and moving back home to Randolph Co. He joined the Coleman Baptist Church and was an active member. He joined and was an active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Survivors include his father, Walter Carl Swann of Carnegie and a sister, Elaine Swann (Roy) Youngblood of Havana, Fl.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jean Martin Swann.
