Cherrie Yelverton King, 57, of Cuthbert passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, February, 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Thad Haygood officiating.

Cherrie was born in Cuthbert on October 25, 1957 the daughter of the late Charlie Douglas and Marie Ware Yelverton. She held many positions around Cuthbert through the years with her last position being Assisant Manager of Patterson's Restaurant. She was a member of the Cuthbert United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jim King of Cuthbert, 2 daughters, Krissey Smith (Neal) of Cuthbert and A. J. King of Americus and a grandson, Daniel King of Cuthbert.
