Daniel Craig Cantrell, 71, of Ft. Gaines, GA, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 20, 2023, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Ft. Gaines at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jamison Hadley officiating.

Mr. Cantrell was born on September 3, 1952, in Davenport, IA, the son of the late Dr. Daniel Cantrell and the late Vivian Brazel Cantrell. He was a graduate of Tift County High School, received an associate degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a bachelor's degree from Valdosta State University. He was a retired CPA with Peachtree Financial Services and was a member of the Baptist Faith.

He was a resident of Newnan, GA from 1985-2022, at which time he retired and he and his wife moved to Ft. Gaines. He enjoyed fishing and the sunsets on Patula Creek.

Survivors include his wife Janet Elliott Cantrell of Ft. Gaines, 2 daughters, Kelli (William) Cantrell Gaissert of Summerville, SC, and Katie (Tanner) Cantrell Parker of Alpharetta, GA and 2 granddaughters, Caroline and Abigail.
