David Emory Thompson, 51, of Coleman, GA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in the Pheobe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Morgan City Cemetery with Rev. Randy Stokes officiating.

David was born August 15, 1973, in Blakely, GA the son of Sue Goodwin Gandy and David Rogers Thompson. After graduating from Calhoun County High School, he served for 5 years in the United States Army. He was the General Manager for Cumming Sales and Service for the past 7 years and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He was a big Georgia Bulldog Fan and loved his Fur Babies.

Survivors include his wife, Christina Thompson of Coleman, mother, Sue Goodwin Gandy of Blakely, father, David Rogers (Kim) Thompson of Cuthbert, 3 daughters, Abby Avera of Coleman, Kaylee (Allen) Turner of Ft. Gaines and Jessica Baughman of Texas, a son, Christopher Thompson of Texas, brother, Jimmy Allen Thompson of Blakely, brother-in-law, Jimbo Simpson of Cuthbert, 2 grandchildren, Jackson Colt Turner and Chloe Cheyenne Turner, niece, Jacey Thompson, and nephew, Jayden Philips.

Asked to serve as pallbearers are Mike Nance, Casey Kimbrell, Tom Cole, Tim Milner, Barry Blanton and Allen Turner. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
