DAWN DILLOW AVERA

Dawn Dillow Avera, 79, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in The Reserve at Fort Gaines. Private graveside funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in the Morgan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Crowdis officiating.

Dawn was born on January 22, 1947, in Coral Gables, FL the daughter of the late Rea Dillow and the late Wyolene Lumley. She was a graduate of Cuthbert High School, retired as a bank clerk for the Bank of Edison and a member of the Methodist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ray Vaughn Avera, Sr.

Survivors include 4 sons, Sean (Celia) Avera, and Heath (Stacy) Avera both of Jacksonville, FL, Vaughn Avera of Cuthbert, and Lance (Megan) Avera of Bainbridge, GA, and 4 grandchildren, Emily (Hunter) Avera Mikson, Ashley Avera, Hannah Avera and Madi Daughtry.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
