Joseph Derek Wood 56, of Cuthbert passed away Sunday Nov. 18, 2018 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, GA.  Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday Nov. 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM in East View Cemetery in Cuthbert, GA with Rev Susan Beverly officiating.

Mr. Wood was born Dec. 8, 1961 in Cuthbert the son of the late Raymond Wood and Ann Patrick Wood. He was a high school graduate, and a member of the Cuthbert United Methodist Church. He was previously employed as a metal fabricator for Settles Ground Support and for Peerless Manufacturing.

Survivors include his mother, Ann Patrick Wood of Cuthbert, a son, Zack Purvis Wood of Sasser, a brother Ray (Susan) Wood of Cuthbert; a sister Vickie (Harold) Andrews of Carnegie and several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Cuthbert United Methodist Church at P. O. Box 449 Cuthbert, Ga. 39840.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 19 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
