Donald Clay Ammons

Donald Clay Ammons, 79, died October 23, 2012, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Eastview Cemetery in Cuthbert with the Rev. Floyd Hipp officiating.

Mr. Ammons was born May 20, 1933, son of the late George Benjamin Ammons and Josie Dee Meeks Ammons.He was a retired farmer, a veteran of the US Army, and a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife; Katherine M. Ammons of Lumpkin, a son; Donnie (Von) Ammons  of Richland, two daughters; Kathy (Leon) Wiggins  of Smithville, and Nancy (Mike) Wilson of Cuthbert,, two brothers; Emory Ammons and Glover Ammons both of Lumpkin, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchidren

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 25th from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home in Cuthbert and afterwards at the residence of Nancy and Mike Wilson, 548 Wilson Road, Cuthbert, Ga.
