Donnie Belle McAllister, 94 of Cuthbert passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Joe Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Hawks officiating with interment to follow in East View Cemetery.

Mrs. McAllister was born on July 27, 1922 in Georgetown, GA the daughter of the late James Hollingsworth and Bessie McCook Hollingsworth Graddy. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cuthbert where she served as Elder, Sunday School Teacher, President of Women of the Church and many other positions. She was a retired Bookkeeper/Office Manager for Settles Precision Manufacturing Company and served as American Cancer Memorial Chairman for numerous years. She enjoyed fishing with her family and canning and making pickles out of the family garden.

Survivors include her husband; John R. McAllister of Cuthbert, a son; Reese McAllister of Cuthbert and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cuthbert in care Annie Rae Pearce 209 Maple St. Cuthbert, GA 39840 or the American Cancer Society in care of Amy Thompson 657 Matt Rd. Cuthbert, GA 39840. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
