Dorothy "Dot" Anne Dozier Cheney, 80, of Edison, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the residence of her daughter in Ft. Gaines, GA. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Morgan Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Holdorf, Rev. Jeff Hines and Rev. Norman Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan Cemetery.

Mrs. Cheney was born on September 7, 1937 in Augusta, GA the daughter of the late Thomas Albert and Josie Hall Dozier. She received her college degree from the University of Georgia and was a member of the Morgan Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Waylan Cheney, a daughter; Anita Leigh Cheney, a sister; Elinor Gibson and a brother; Joe Dozier.

Survivors include 3 daughters; Laurie (Greg) Summerlin of Dothan, Sandra (Doyle) Weekley of Cusseta and Linda (Jeff) Hines of Ft. Gaines, a brother; Will (Ginny) Dozier of Columbus, was "Anma" to 10 grandchildren, a great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Morgan Baptist Church P. O. Box 32 Morgan, GA 39866.
