Elise Leon Rish, 92 of Edison died August 14, 2012 at Calhoun Nursing Home in Edison. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 16, at Vilulah Baptist Church near Coleman with interment in the Church Cemetery. Rev. David Murphy will officiate.

Mr. Rish was born June 19, 1920 in Edison, son of the late Elise Lee and Clara Joiner Rish. He was a farmer and worked for Green Thumb for many years. Mr. Rish was a member and a deacon of Vilulah Baptist Church and Served in the 37th Division of the U S Army during World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Ben Joiner Rish of Atlanta, A number of nieces and nephews and a special great-nephew, Eric Jenkins and his wife Jennifer Jenkins and their son Owen of Edison.

The family will recieve friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home.
