ELTON "BUBBER" THURMAN HERRINGTON, JR.

Elton Thurman “Bubber” Herrington, Jr., 80, of Sasser, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in the Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026, in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Henry officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM in the Parrott City Cemetery.

Bubber was born on December 2, 1945, in Americus, GA the son of the late Elton Thurman Herrington, Sr. and the late Louise Lynette McClung. He was a 4-year United States Air Force Veteran, retired from the Maintenance Department of the United States Post Office, and was a member of the Sasser Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Jimmy Herrington and Spencer Herrington and a sister, Lynette Flournoy.

Survivors include his wife, India Ferguson Herrington of Sasser, grandson, Brett (Jacey) Herrington and brother, Mack (Bebe) Herrington.
