Ernestine Beckham Smith

Ernestine Beckham Smith, 87, died Friday January 16, 2015 at her residence in Edison. Graveside Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday Jan. 19, 2015 in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery near Edison, with Rev. Daniel McFather officiating.

Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 25, 1927 in Edison, Ga. the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Gladys Holloway Beckham. She was a high school graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church, and a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include three daughters  Kim Smith of Edison, Jan (Jim) Allen of Cuthbert, Gayle (Ben) Floyd of Pine Mountain; 7 grandchildren Lana McFather , Aubrey Allen, Jason Allen, Lauren Stoklosa, Tom Griffin, Aaron Griffin, Chris Floyd, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband James A. Smith and a daughter Toni Griffin.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
