Floyd Esbon Hipp

Floyd Esbon Hipp 82, of Cuthbert passed away Sat. May 23, 2015 at the Willson Hospice House in Albany Ga. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday May 27, 2015 at the Faith Baptist Church in Cuthbert with the Rev. Jeff Giddens and Rev. Ben McFather officiating.  Interment will follow in East View Cemetery in Cuthbert.

Floyd Esbon Hipp was born Aug. 28, 1932 in Tigerville, S. C. the son of the late Esbon Frederick and Ione Barton Hipp. He was a retired produce Manager and an Active Minister. Mr. Hipp was Pastor of Benevolence Baptist Church for 29 Years and Pastor of Brooksville Baptist Church for 33 Years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church serving as Chairman of Deacons and Sunday School Director for 25 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.

Survivors include 2 sons Dwight Esbon Hipp and his wife Mary Ann of Georgetown, TX, Wallace Dean Hipp and his wife Cindy of Middleburg, FL; 3 daughters Vonnie H. McNeil of Albany, Ga., Cynthia Ann Wolfe of Cuthbert, Daphne Denise Sanders and her husband Jim of Eufaula, AL; 1 sister Doris Ruth Edwards of Travelers Rest, S.C. and a special sister-in-law Martha Jean Rooks and her husband Nathan Rooks of Morris, Ga.; 6 Grandchildren Christopher Esbon Hipp, Bryan John Grubbs (Caroline), Zachary Dean Hipp (Fiancée Jennifer Butler) Andrew Justin Grubbs, Nina Lynn Brumley (Chance) Capt USAF, Rena Jeanine Lentz (Ryan) and 2 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Esbon Frederick and Ione Barton Hipp, and his Beloved wife Mary Alice Peak Hipp.
