Fred Hubert "Freddy" Darden, III, 68, of Columbus, GA died on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at his residence. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the Cuthbert United Methodist Church with Rev. Ivelisse Quinones officiating.

Mr. Darden was born on January 8, 1953 in Cuthbert the son of the late Fred Hubert Darden, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Pearce Darden. Freddy graduated from Atlanta Area Technical School, was a pipe welder and was a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Ellis Darden of Columbus, daughter, Ashley (Rod) Ricks of Blakely, son, Eric (Phyllis) Darden of California, a step-daughter, Cassidy (Bryan) Hasty of Mobile, Al, a step-son, Chas (Tonya) Ashley of Edison, a sister, Nancy Coody of Cuthbert, a brother, David Darden of Wetumpka, AL, 4 grandchildren, Riley, McKinley, Adley and Elijah, 4 step grandchildren, Austin, Abigail Addlyn and Isaac and a great grandchild, Camila.
