Gail Alligood Chapman, 81, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the Willson Hospice Home.

Mrs. Chapman was born on June 5, 1943, in Montezuma, GA the daughter of the late Searcy Clyde Alligood and the late Arlene Holley Alligood. She attended Georgia Southwestern University for one year. She was the retired Head Teller for the Citizens Bank, First State Bank and Trust and Regions Bank after 32 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Marsha Morris and a great grandson, Timothy Coleman Thomas.

Survivors include her husband Tommy Chapman of Cuthbert, 2 sons, Rick (Lauren) Chapman of Middleburg, FL and Rusty (Shannon) Chapman of Cuthbert, a brother, James C, (Sonny) Alligood of Franklin, TN, 2 sisters, Winona Wilson and Patricia Bivens, 4 grandchildren, Krystal Nicole Thomas, Amanda Leigh Chapman-Worley, Karley Chapman and Kaitlyn Chapman, and 6 great grandchildren, Kellen Chase Thomas, Mark Chandler Thomas, Layla Rose Hamrick, Taylor Jade Worley, Rhylnn Brooke Worley and Camden Ryder Worley.
