GARY MILLIRON

Gary Sutton Milliron, 92, Dawson, GA passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, in the Dawson Manor Rehabilitation Center. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery near Shellman.

Gary was born on September 1, 1934, in Shellman, GA, the son of the late Capers Harvey Milliron, Jr. and the late Susie Sutton Milliron. He was a graduate of Shellman High School and was a US Army Veteran serving from 1957 until 1959 mostly in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area. After being discharged from military service he was employed with Public Service Company of New Mexico. Upon retirement he moved back to Terrell County, Georgia with his wife Marion to whom he had been married 54 years at the time of his death. She was from Moultrie, Georgia (class of 1955) and having met in Albuquerque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Matthew Milliron and 2 brothers, Harvey Milliron and Lee Milliron.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Hall Milliron, son, Mark Milliron, 2 sisters, Gaynor Goodwin and Susan Long.

Coming to know and following Jesus as Lord for most of his life was a most important factor of his life.
