RICHLAND, GA
Gerald "Gerry" Wilson Georgiades, 76, of Richland, GA passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the Willson Hospice House in Albany. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday in Cuthbert Eastview Cemetery with Tim Peachy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until funeral time on Wednesday in the cemetery.
Gerry was born on June 7, 1949, in and raised in Cuthbert, GA the son of the late Ethel Funderburke Georgiades and the late Harry Hercules Georgiades. He joined the United States Marines Corp in 1968 and is a Vietnam Veteran. While in the Marines he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal-w/device, Rifle Marksmanship Badge, Vietnam Service Medal w/1* and Combat Action Ribbon.
He was a graduate of Andrew College with a degree in Criminal Justice: and underwent training in Chicago in the area of Industrial Sewing Machine Mechanics. In the following years, he began a lifelong career at Kellwood in Cuthbert; and later retired from Jamison Bedding in Albany, GA. His passion was his family and friends. Gerry also had a great love for his animals, most recently Chewy and Muffin.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, youngest brother Kim "Tex" Georgiades and God-Grandson, Dallas Giles.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Georgiades, his devoted daughters, Kristie G. Harris Preston (Mike) of Fort Gaines and Lisa Brewer (Michael of Albany, his brothers, Jimmy "Greek" Georgiades (Bonnie) and Fred "Round-House" Georgiades, grandchildren, Haley Harris Givens (Blaine), Laney Brooke Harris, Charles Harris and Tristan "Bub" Harris, great grandchild, Holden Dallas Tupper, niece, Nicole Huffman (Tim), nephew, Andy Bryant and many other cousins and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
