Godfrey Lamar Perryman

Godfrey Lamar Perryman of Forest City, NC went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2015 at Henderson Care Center in Forest City, NC. Graveside service will be held on March 19th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at County Line Baptist Church in Stewart County GA.  Lunsford Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

"Boots"as he was called by family was born May 12, 1929 in Randolph County. He grew up in Benevolence and Cuthbert. In 1961 he moved his family to Albany where he worked with Keenan's Auto Parts, Bruce Jones Auto, Beard's Auto and Penny's Auto service. In 1979 he went to work with Daniels Construction in Mississippi and later moved to Murrell's Inlet, SC where he retired.

Boots had a strong work ethic and was loyal and devoted taking pride in his work and providing for his family. He was kindhearted and had a great sense of humor that everyone loved about him.

He was preceded by his mother and father, wife Lorene Canington Perryman of 51 years and a loving companion Ann Mayberry for 14 years.

He is survived a daughter Linda Reynolds (Chuck) West End NC, step-daughters Becky Fowler of Forest City and Traundra Lawson of Hahira Ga. and  grandsons Michael (Shannon) Moody and Greg Moody and 5 great grand children all of Wake Forest NC, a brother David Perryman of Dothan  AL He also leaves a lot of nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Boots.
