Grady Wood (Butch) McLeod, Jr.

Grady Wood McLeod, Jr, 69, of Morris,  passed away Tuesday Sept. 19, 2017 at his residence. A Memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday Sept. 23, 2017 at the Chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hartley officiating, A visitation will follow the services.

Mr. McLeod was born April 14, 1948 in Port St. Joe FL, the son of Grady Wood McLeod, Sr. and Marie Cordell McLeod and was raised in Iron City, GA. Mr. McLeod was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in U.S. Army. He worked as a mechanic and welder residing in Albany, GA for many years. Butch was well-known for his drag racing abilities at U.S. 19 Dragway. He was service manager at King Power Equipment in Eufaula, AL. He recently resided in Morris, GA.

He is survived by his wife Ginger West McLeod of Morris, he was a loving stepfather of Allyson Houston (Creig) and Christopher Collins and grandfather to Mackenzie, Ryan and Tyler. He was also survived by his sister; Annie Jowers (Tommy) and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Jesse McLeod.
