Harvey L. Turner, Sr, 89, of Cuthbert, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Leamon Foxworth officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until funeral time at the graveside.

Harvey was born on December 31, 1931, in Ashford, AL the son of the late Bill and Bertie Turner. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and was a self-employed paint contractor. He was an US Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Calhoun Turner, of Cuthbert, 3 daughters, Sonya Collier of Cuthbert, Gina (Ed) Pate of Cuthbert and Trisha Rice of Shellman, a son, Harvey Turner, Jr. of Cuthbert, 6 grandchildren, Steve (April) Collier of Leesburg, Health (Kristy) Collier of Arlington, Justin Pate of Shellman, Branon (Erin) Pate of Leesburg, Courtney (Clint) Ferguson of Shellman and Trae (Carley) Rice of Leesburg, 9 great grandchildren, Aubrie Ferguson, Braxton Ferguson, Olivia Collier, Harper Collier, Lila Pate, Hollyn Pate, S. J. Pate, Levi Collier and Leigh Anna Collier and multiple nieces and nephews.
