Helen Moore Blanton, 82, of Carrabelle, Florida, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 1, 2026. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in the Richland First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McGlaun officiating. Final resting place will be in Harmony Cemetery in Richland, GA.

Originally from Columbus, Georgia, Helen began her career as a civil servant at Fort Benning, GA. She later served as the city clerk of Richland, Georgia, a role she held faithfully for 27 years. After moving to Carrabelle, Florida, she continued her public service as the assistant clerk for the city. Helen was an avid reader and loved to cook for her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding great joy in time spent with them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Becky Mensinger; her brothers, Gary Mensinger and Butch Moore; a sister, Beth Mensinger; and two aunts, Louise Bone and Annie Ruth Bone.

Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jimmy Blanton; her children, Mike (Beverly) Blanton and Ben Blanton; a brother, Charles (Becky) Mensinger; three grandchildren, Chase, Taylor, and Rebecca; and three great-grandchildren, Blake, Bryson, and Ezra.

Lunsford Funeral Home will be assisting the family with the service in Georgia and Young Family Funeral Home is assisting the family in Crawfordville, Florida.
