Ida Jordan Goss Carden, 96, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the residence of her granddaughter in Smiths Station, Al. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the Cuthbert Presbyterian Church with Dr. Richard Hawk and Paster Tom McFarland officiating. Interment will be conducted at 4:00 PM in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Arlington, GA.

Mrs. Carden was born on November 11, 1925, in Arlington, GA the daughter of the late Clifford and Rachel Culbreth Jordan. She was the assistant City Clerk for the City of Cuthbert, attended Andrew College and was a member of the Cuthbert Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder of the church, Choir Director from 1980 until 2006 and youth Sunday School teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James Dennis Goss, her second husband, Ferris Carden, son, Larry James Goss and siblings, Doris Jordan Jones, Betty Jordan Phillips, Grace Jordan Rabon, Dorcey Jordan, Mary Jordan Simpson, Kansas Jordan and Rachel Jordan.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Brenda Radford of Cuthbert and Deby Mayhew of Columbus, 2 sons, Michael (Bonnie) Goss of Leesburg and Tommy Wayne (Kay) Goss of Brooksville, a step-daughter, Jean Carden (Bruce) Youngblood, 2 step-sons, Arnold (Marilyn) Carden and Ferrell (Vicky) Carden, 8 grandchildren, Karen Perper, Kevin Baron, Kristy Mauko, Kerry Baron, Scott (Tracey) Mayhew, Amanda Mayhew (Lee)  Walker, Jaime (Arthur)Tucker and David (Savarrah) Goss, 14 great grandchildren, Joy P. Smith, Jessie (Paige) Perper, Hope Latimer, Chad Goldinger, Krista (Josh) Williams, Tiffany Baron, Candice (Lee) Walker, Brock Mauko, Jules Mayhew, Bryce Mayhew, Robert Walker, Jason Walker, Donnie Tucker and Alexia Goss and 14 great great grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Chandler Smith, Jordan Smith, Skylar Jackson, Levi Bryant, Madison Latimer, Kolten Bryant, Weston Goldinger, Lee Shaw, Gavin Shaw, Harper Walker, Ellie Walker, Raegan Perper and Lincoln Perper.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until funeral time on Thursday in the Cuthbert Presbyterian Church.
