INEZ McWHORTER GORDON, 99, of Fort Gaines died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Henry County Health and Rehab Facility in Addeville, AL. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the Fort Gaines United Methodist Church with Rev. Martin Loyley and Randy Stokes officiating and interment to follow in New Park Cemetery in Fort Gaines.

Mrs. Gordon was born on April 8, 1914 in Bowden, GA. the daughter of the late Clark and Leah Shannon McWhorter. Mrs Gordon received a 6th ED Spec Degree from Auburn University, was an Educator for the Clay County School System and was a member of the Fort Gaines United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gifford Gordon, a daughter Rose Wilkins, and a son Marion Gordon.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Traci Wilkins Sorrells of Headland, AL, three great grandchildren, Brittany Rose James, John Kyle James and Clinton Kohl James all from Headland, AL. and a great, great granddaughter, Kandalyn Faith James of Headland, AL.

The family will recieve friends from 3:00PM until funeral time at 4:00 PM in the church.
