James "Jim" Dwight Burke, 75, of Ft. Gaines, GA passed away on Sunday January 19, 2025, at his residence. Memorial services will be announced at a later time.

Jim was born on May 8, 1949, in Cedartown, GA the son of the late John Burke and the late Lilly Mae Lockridge Burke. Mr. Burke was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army and was a retired truck driver for AMX Trucking in Alabama. He had an associates degree from Iowa Community College and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Eva Lois Sammons, Linda Burke and Ruth Burke and 3 brothers, Robert Burke, Howard Burke and Jack Lockridge.

Survivors include his wife Katherine Fields Burke of Ft. Gaines, a son, Kyle Ellithorpe of Wilton, IA, a daughter, Dorinda Marshall of IA and 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Miranda, Rex, Tyler, Lillian and Eliza.
