James "Jim" Elliott Blackshear, 59, of Shellman, GA passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, in Lunsford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Buckhiester officiating.

Mr. Blackshear was born on February 2, 1962, in Albany, GA the son of the Late John "J. W." Willie Blackshear and Joan Mason Blackshear. He was a millwright with Bilfinger Inc. and a member of the Shellman United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Wyatt Blackshear.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Russell Blackshear of Shellman, his mother, Joan Mason Blackshear of Shellman, 2 daughters, Jordan Blackshear of Albany and Abigail Smith of Leesburg, 3 sons, Logan Pressley of Sylvester, Matthew Pressley of Albany and James Elliott "J. B." Blackshear II of Cuthbert, 2 sisters, Mary Ann Rosenholm of Clayton, GA and Tammy Merritt of Shellman and 7 grandchildren.
