JAMES WALTOM GOODE

James Waltom Goode, 75, of Leary, GA passed away January 28, 2026, at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday Feb. 5, 2026, at the Leary Baptist Church in Leary, GA with interment to follow at Bronwood Cemetery in Bronwood GA with Rev. Andy Goode and Steve Gordy officiating.

Mr. Goode was born Mar. 11, 1950, in Albany, Ga., the son of the late James L. and Jeannine Knighton Goode. He was a graduate of Georgia Southern with a BS degree. Mr. Goode retired as a Lighting Designer for TV and Stage. He Is a member of the Leary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife. Laura Anne Bidez Goode, a son, Skyler Thomas (Shelby) Goode, and 3 grandchildren, Jacob Goode, Raelynn Goode, and Slade Goode.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
