James Edward Hill, 71, of Cuthbert passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with interment to follow in Eastview Cemetery.

James was born on March 3, 1945 in Quitman, GA the son of the late Greene Bryant and Cleo Meeks Hill. He was a retired Truck Driver and a member of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife; Darlena Thomas Hill of Cuthbert, 3 sons; Marshal Hill of Cuthbert, Brian Hill of Fitzgerald and Jamie Hill of NC, a sister; Myrl Neal of Hendersonville, NC, 3 brothers; Earl Hill of Cuthbert, Tommie Hill of Alapaha and Jackie Hill of Tallahassee, FL, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a niece; Tootie McCook.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
