James Edmond (ED) "Brother" Sheffield, 80 of Coleman passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in the Early Memorial Nursing Home. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vilulah Baptist Church with Rev. David Murphy, Rev. Daniel McFather and Rev. Ben McFather officiating.

Mr. Ed was born on December 19, 1937 in Cedar Springs, GA the son of the late James Guerry and Ida Lou Sheffield. He attended Troy State University, retired after 43 years with Georgia Pacific, an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Vilulah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Florence Moore Sheffield.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Kodi (Jeff) Brown of Georgetown and Lisa King of Blakely, 2 sons, Jami Sheffield of Georgetown and Warren Cooper of Albany, 3 grandchildren, Jason (Jana) Simpson, Ashton (Hunter) Cook and Kyle (Kayla) Kidd and 2 great grandchildren, Hadley Cook and Avery Kidd.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Albany Area Easter Seals Program at 1906 Palmyra Rd. Albany, GA 31701.
