Jean Whaley Williams Ellis, 89 passed away on December 13, 2022, in the Phobe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. A Love feast celebration of life service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on December 22, 2022, in the Trinity Church at 578 Trinity Rd. Cuthbert, GA with Rev. Paul Buckheister officiating.

Jean was born on December 22, 1932, in Shellman, GA the daughter of the late Thomas Zebulon and Rebecca Taylor Whaley. She received a master's degree in education from Valdosta State University. She was a retired teacher from Charlotte Country Day School in Charlotte, NC and was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert McMath Williams and her second husband, William Arthur Ellis.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean Whaley Williams of Shellman and a sister, Marian Whaley Arnold of Albany.
