Jimmie Hume Ragan, 76, of Coleman, Ga. died Friday  Aug. 3, 2012 at Phoebe Putnay Hospital in Albany, Ga.

Funeral Services will held Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Vilulah Baptist Church with interment to follow at the Church Cemetery. The Rev. David Murphy and Rev. Ben McFather will officiate.

Jimmie Hume Ragan was born Aug. 4, 1935 in Ft. Benning Ga. the son of the late Raliegh and Willie Andrews Ragan. Mr. Ragan graduated from the Cuthbert High School, He was the owner and operator of the Piget for 41 years, a member, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher of the Vilulah Baptist Church and a member of the Geeslin-Sharley American Legion Post # 85. Mr. Ragan served 10 Years in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife Julia Ann Ragan of Coleman: two sons Darrell Paul (Janice) of Cuthbert, Ga. and David Ragan of Rome Ga; a sister Barbara Hill (Fred) of Atlanta; a nephew Jeff Hill; Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Vilulah Baptist Church, % Mrs. Billie Bruner, 30340 US Highway 27 Coleman, Ga. 39836, or the Geeslin-Sharley American Legion Post 85.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday 6:30 until 8:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home in Cuthbert, Ga.
