Rev. Jimmy Wayne Johnson, 67, of Coleman passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 4th in the Vilulah Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jackie Williams and Rev. David Murphy will be officiating.

Mr. Johnson was born on April 24, 1946 in Cuthbert the son of the late James Curtis "Bruce" Johnson and the late Carolyn Strickland Johnson. He was a retired minister with his Bachelor in Geology and a Masters Degree in Theology. He was saved on May 16, 1971 and ordained on October 10, 1971 in the 1st Baptist Church of Buena Vista, Pastored from 1971 until 2012 and was a member of the Leary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Paula Jernigan Johnson of Coleman, a daughter, Janna L. (David) Sieg of Montgomery, AL., a son, Christopher Parrish of Dothan, a brother, Robert Bruce Johnson of Sasser, seven grandchildren, Jonathan May, Destinee Ragan, Ashlee Ragan, Toree Ragan, Tayte Harmon, Natlie Harmon, and Chance Kayan Parrish and special friends, Tyrone and Melissa Ragan.

The family will receive friends today from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home.
