Joann Arrington Barge, 87, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Joe Ann Burgin Nursing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday January 24, 2025, in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with the Rev. Ivelisse Quinones officiating. Interment to follow at the Eastview Cemetery in Cuthbert, Ga.

Joann was born on September 19, 1937, in Tifton, Ga. the daughter of the late Leon Harvey and Mamie Lena Bellflower Arrington. Joann was a graduate of the Tift County High School. After moving to Cuthbert, she was employed at the Sam Sawyer Shop for 15 years, and Randolph Elementary School in the Kids Count Program for 12 years. She was a member of the Cuthbert United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, John Taylor Barge, Jr.

Survivors include 2 sons, Danny (Nancy) Barge of Lineville, AL and Kenny Barge of Cuthbert, Ga, 2 granddaughters, LeeAnn (James) Miller and Danielle (Eric) Daniels and 6 great grandchildren Callie, Ellie, Trace, Shane, Donna, and Kaitlyn.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday Jan. 23, 2025, at Lunsford funeral Home.
