John Barry Carter, Jr., 86, of Morris, GA passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Carter Cemetery on Union Church Road in Morris, GA with the Rev. Matt Jones officiating. Friends are welcome however masks are encouraged and social distancing will be required.

Mr. Carter was born on July 19,1934 in Lakeland, FL the son of the late John Barry Carter, Sr. and Alice Thornhill Carter. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the VFW, American Legion, and a member of the Edgewood Church of Christ.  He was a retired Food and Health Inspector for the Florida Department of Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris Ovette Cross Carter, 2 sisters, Betty Lou Roberts and Barbara Ann Carter and 2 brothers, Albert Carter and Lucious Ira Carter

Survivors include a daughter, Terri Carter Willis of Old Town, FL, a son, John Barry (Lori) Carter, III of Morris, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
